1.Take Measurements of your available space include walls, doors, obstacles, and ceiling height.
2. Draw layout of where you want to put packing. Plan an efficient flow of material through your warehouse.
3. Plan for adequate aisle widths based on the turning radius of your forklift.
4. Identify the size and weight of your pallets

Measure pallet depth, pallet width and load height+pallet height

How heavy is your average pallet?

How heavy is your largest pallet?
5. Calculate frame depth

Subtract 6 from pallet depth: pallet should over hang the beams by 3 inches in the front and the back.

Standard pallet has a 48″ depth: 48″-6″=42″ deep frame.
6. Determine frame Height

How tall is the ceiling? allow 18″ inches between the ceiling or sprinklers and top of pallets.
